Hotels The Stukeleys

Sandford House

18 George St, Huntingdon PE29 3BD, UK – 01480 432402

Great place to share a bite with friends and family alike. Can be busy in the evenings on Friday, Saturday and sometimes Sunday but that's to be expected. Good range of drinks, and a large menu to suit all, including some vegan options. The hotel part I cannot comment on as I've only been downstairs to eat and drink the bar. Overall good experience.

The hotel was excellent value, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed here the night before a hospital appointment at Hinchingbrooke and this was very conveniently located for the hospital and town centre. The pub was also very nice and the toilets are amazing, it has huge ornate mirrors, a beautiful giant sink and sofas. We only ate breakfast here but it was very nice and the service was quick.

Huntingdon Marriott Hotel

Kingfisher Way, Hinchingbrooke Business Park, Huntingdon PE29 6FL, UK – 01480 446000

Had a great stay here. Rooms were a good size and the bed was comfy. Lots of things in the room, iron, trouser press etc. The TV was also good, big size and Internet connectivity. The breakfast had a good range of options and constantly topped up.

I recently joined a friend for a coffee and we could not get comfortable! The choice of tables were either hard chairs or really low sofas and tables. Staff were super lovely and kind though. If we could have got comfy I’m sure we would have stayed for lunch 🥗

George Hotel

George St, Huntingdon PE29 3AB, UK – 01480 432444

Good but with some problems The restaurant is closed on a monday evening. If you want to eat you have to sit in the bar area. Was not told in advance. Rooms are dated but comfortable and staff are mostly very pleasant. If you want a better eating and drinking experience there is a very good Wetherspoons two minutes across the road.

Very nice place with enjoyable atmosphere, we sat outside in the hot weather but in the shade enjoying our drinks. Friendly bar staff, decent drinks, decent place.

I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

The Stukeleys Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

King of the Belgians

27 Main St, Hartford, Huntingdon PE29 1XU, UK – 01480 52030

I don't really want to give five stars, because this gem of a pub might get too popular! Great cider and ale, the staff friendly and helpful. Didn't get to try the food but if it's as good as the rest of it then it will be excellent. Wish this was my local!

Absolutely lovely meal had here for a family event!! Staff and management couldn’t be anymore accommodating and welcoming! Perfect sized food portions for a large appetite, with fresh ingredients!

The Barley Mow

42 Main St, Hartford, Huntingdon PE29 1XU, UK – 01480 450557

The barley mow based in hartford, Huntingdon is a lovely pub restaurant serving quality drinks and food with a vibrant but calming atmosphere. It has a great selection on the menu. A few options also for Vegan diets, but always good to ask before ordering as they seem more than happy to help. I tend to go for the vegetable fajitas and are more than generous with the portions as well as great price. You won't break the bank at this place, but this doesn't sacrifice it's quality. Certainly aiming for the medium price range for pubs and restaurants along with high-quality from service, to drinks and food. There is a Beer garden at the back to enjoy your beverages outside in the sun and inside, plenty of seating to enjoy your food with friends and family. Highly recommended overall.

Great food, nice atmosphere just had a few dishes out of stock from the menu. Would highly recommend.
